On July 28th, 2023, the meeting of the Presidium of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Reproductive Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences was occure as on-line formula.

 

The subject of the meeting of the Presidium of the Committee was the discussion about:

1. The election to the scientific committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

2. Developing an initiative to prepare recommendations regarding the rules of conduct in the case of feline influenza.

3. Information about the Science Evaluation Committee (KEN).

4. Presentation of information on activities related to applications for awards of the 2nd Division of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

On March 8, 2023, the meeting of the Presidium of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Reproductive Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences was occure as on-line formula.

 

The subject of the meeting of the Presidium of the Committee was the discussion on the proposal of the Chairman of the Committee, prof. Wojciech Niżański, concerning the preparation of a letter to the Minister of Education and Science requesting that, along with the separation of the field of veterinary sciences and the discipline of veterinary medicine, changes in the weights of evaluation criteria (K1, K2, K3) for the veterinary discipline applicable to agricultural sciences 50, 35 and 15 should be taken into account for life sciences and health sciences ratings of 60, 20, and 20.

The proposal of the committee's presidium was fully supported by all members of the committee's presidium.

On February 16, 2023, a meeting of the Presidium of KNWiBR PAN was was took place n the form of an on-line conference using the Meet application.

 

The subject of the meeting of the Presidium of the committee was the discussion about the draft of the regulation of the Minister of Education and Science amending the regulation on cost-intensity coefficients in order to prepare the opinion of the KNWiBR PAN, at the request of the Vice-President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Ms. prof. Natalia Sobczak in consultation with Prof. Krzysztof W. Nowak - Dean of the 2nd Faculty of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Members of the presidium of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Reproductive Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences also proposed their own position developed by the committee, which will be subject to electronic voting by all members of the committee and sent to the Ministry of Education and Science.

On 14 September, 2022. a meeting of the Presidium of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Biology of Reproduction of the Polish Academy of Sciences took place in the form of an on-line conference using the Meet application.

 

The subject of the meeting was:

- discussion on changes in the functioning of the Polish Journal of Veterinary Sciences;

- giving an opinion on the application for the award of the 2nd Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences;

- discussion about the activities related to the continuation of the dialogue with the NCN Council;

- conclusions on the assessment of the state of the discipline and other ongoing activities.

On May 13, 2022. a meeting of the Presidium of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Biology of Reproduction of the Polish Academy of Sciences took place in the form of an on-line conference using the Meet application.

The subject of the meeting was a discussion on the evaluation of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Biology of Reproduction of the Polish Academy of Sciences, assessment of the state of the veterinary discipline and activities related to the continuation of the dialogue with the NCN Council, including by analyzing the activities carried out so far resulting from the conclusions of the meeting with the Council of the National Science Center on December 8, 2021.

On February 18, 2022 a meeting of the Presidium of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Biology of Reproduction of the Polish Academy of Sciences took place in the form of an on line conference using the Meet application.

 

For the meeting dr hab. Michał Jank prof. SGGW in Warsaw - Director of Vet Planet has been invited by the Chairman of KNWiBR PAN, prof. Wojciech Niżański. The subject of the meeting was a discussion on the possibility of extending the scope of National Smart Specializations (KIS) to include veterinary topics. Dr hab. Michał Jank prof. WULS-SGGW presented the principles of cooperation with units of universities in the country as part of NCBiR projects and presented in the form of a short presentation the thematic scope of national smart specializations (KIS) in the field of proposals for veterinary medicine. He emphasized the significant shortcomings of the subject of veterinary medicine in the field of "entering" veterinary medicine in the thematic areas with the highest scientific and economic potential on national scale, which significantly reduces the financial perspective in 2021-2027 for projects not belonging to KIS.

On January 27, 2022. a meeting of the Presidium of the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Biology of Reproduction of the Polish Academy of Sciences took place in the form of an on-line conference using the Meet application
 
The subject of the meeting was a discussion on activities related to contacts and dialogue with the NCN Council, further unification of veterinary positions, and an analysis of the activities carried out so far resulting from the conclusions of the meeting with the NCN Council on December 8, 2021. and a proposal to set the next date of the meeting with the NCN Council.
