IX Congress of the Society for Reproductive Biology (TBR),
Dear Sir or Madam,
We are honored and pleased to invite you to the IX Congress of the Society for Reproductive Biology (TBR), which will be held on September 2-4, 2021. TBR Meetings are a cyclical event organized every 3 years in the largest Polish cities. Due to the pandemic situation, the conference will be held online. The conference will be an excellent opportunity to meet and listen to specialists not only from Poland, but also invited foreign guests.
The subject of the conference covers broadly understood issues related to the reproduction of both animals and humans. The latest results of genetic and molecular research in biology, reproduction, as well as in the field of physiology and animal breeding will be presented. All this taking into account the latest available technologies, including: next-generation NGS sequencing, stem cell culture techniques, and fluorescence and confocal microscopy. The participants of the Congress are academics from leading Polish and foreign research centers and universities. The participation of doctors - practitioners dealing with infertility on a daily basis is also important. The proceedings will be held in English.
We cordially invite not only the members of the Society for Reproductive Biology, but also all those interested in the broadly understood subject of reproductive biology, which will allow for the exchange of valuable experiences and establishing new cooperation opportunities.

XXIII SCIENFIFIC CONFERENCE
‘Current problems in health and production of dairy and beef cattle’
FINALLY. After a break year and long waiting with continuous hopes that the pandemic will reduce - or maybe it will stop completely, the first stationary conference in Poland this year was held in Polanica Zdrój on June 24-25, 2021. Nevertheless, it was the next, periodic and already XXIII conference organized by the Department of Reproduction and Clinic of Large Animals, Wroclaw University of Environmental and Lifesciences in cooperation with the Polish Society of Veterinary Sciences and the Committee of Veterinary Sciences and Biology of Reproduction of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Everyone longed for this meeting, conversations and discussions on the presented lectures and speeches. The conference was devoted to the current problems in the health and production of dairy and beef cattle. These problems do not disappear, and even the opposite: not only new ones appear, but also old ones do not let us forget about them. Increasing milk and meat yield, weight gain - these are factors that, when the welfare is not addressed properly, contribute to the fertility problems, decreased milk yield and milk quality, metabolic disorders, infectious diseases and finally lameness. These issues were discussed in the presented 16 papers delivered by 14 lecturers from Poland and abroad. The conference was attended by 245 people who actively participated in the discussion after the lectures and in the lobby. All participants were extremely satisfied with the participation in the conference and promised to be at the next meeting in the charming Polanica Zdrój in 2022.
